Bertie Wells

Bertie Wells, 91, a retired photographer/artist, passed Wednesday, May 4th, 2016. Bertie was born April 17, 1925, in Chicago to Robert and Ruby Gerald. She was a Chicago resident and a member of First Progressive Pentecostal Church and the Twosome Sunday School. She was a portrait and wedding photographer. Bertie served as a volunteer at Harris Rush University Medical Center for a number of years and was an active member of Rush Auxiliary. She helped her husband on sales meetings, hosting wife's meetings with great success. Survivors: Husband of 58 years, Leroy Wells; daughters, Janice Smith of Indianapolis, Patricia Kicyla and her husband, Walter, of Waukegan; granddaughters, Lisa Carr, Leslie Smith; grandson, Josh Smith; and great-grandson, Ben Garvey and a host of other relatives and friends
