Janet Casey was born April 18th, 1958 to Ronald & Catherine Casey .
Janet was in love with music, education and shaping both young and old minds. After receiving her formal education from Longwood Highschool, an all girls academy in Chicago, She pursued her Bachelor’s Degree through Loyola University focusing on her passion in making a difference in the community, for families in need.
She worked faithfully as a case worker for the Illinois Department of Human Services, a court advocate for many years across the greater Chicagoland & Suburban Area, then served as the first black loan officer for Chase Bank.
In her spare time, you could find Janet talking on the phone to loved ones, watching her favorite shows on
television but most of all, She just loved, adored and was overjoyed with spending
quality time with her grandchildren JaBari, JaNiya, Savannah and Brooklyn.
Janet was such a selfishless giver, she loved to laugh and left a lasting impression on every person she came in contact with.
On December 22nd, 2025 at the age of 67, surrounded by her loving family, Janet Casey crossed the finish -line of this life transitioned from earthly labor to her peaceful reward. She was greeted at the pearly gates of heaven by her Husband Cecil Charles, Parents Ronald & Catherine, her brother Phillip , nephew Ronald Casey-Smith, and other dear family members and friends who went before her.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, her loving children:Aja Casey-Hicks (Ronald), Gregory P. Casey (Brittany) of Irving Texas, Caitlyn Casey, devoted grandchildren; Jabari, Janiyah, Savannah, and Brooklyn,
Siblings Ronald Casey (Krystal) Gregory Casey (Pearl) Cheryl Casey and a host of other relatives, church family and friends.
