Marc-Anthony Saulsberry Obituary

Marcus Anthony Saulsberry, loving known As Marc, was born to John and

Pearlene Saulsberry on April 1, 1963 in Chicago, IL. The second of two children.

Marc's formative years were in Memphis Tennessee, where he graduated from

Hillcrest High School. Marc accepted Christ into his heart as his personal savior at

Whitestone Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis TN.

Marc attended Florida State University in Tallahassee Florida, where he played

football and received his associates in Art. He later transferred to Ray -Vouge

College of Design in Chicago IL. Marc was an avid cartoonist.

It was in this very church that he would meet and married the love of his life,

Mariea. It was an ongoing joke that Mariea's daughter Tiffini was his daughter and

he was paying Mariea $265 in child support. It was this love and humor that led

them to be married on July 30, 1983. Adopting Tiffini as his own, God blessed

their union with another daughter Angelia. Being the strong man he was, Marc

took two young men under his wing, Robert and Adam and adopted them as his

sons.

Marc touched many lives with his wisdom, wit and laughter. He would rename you

at the drop of a hat and the name usually struck. Marc was very protective of his

family and friends. If you were invited to his home, you became a friend for life.

Because of his love of God, Marc was also known as Big Bible and often gave his

own twist of the bible but always getting his point across. When asked for advice,

his answer was simple. "There are two ways to handle things, man's way or God's

way". Marc always pushed for God's way. Marc was a man of simple pleasures.

He enjoyed watching sports both current and old, WWE wrestling, old western and

action movies and listening to all type of music. Marc was always seen with a big

smile and welcomed you with a lively conversation.

On March 17, 2015 Marc was welcomed into glory. Waiting for Marc at the gates

was his parents, John and Pearlene. Stepmother Vera, Brother Darryl,

Grandparents JC & Hattie Saulsberry and Ester Lee and Benatha Hurt and Aunts

Annie Augustus and Cordia Saulsberry.

Marc leaves to celebrate his life: His wife of 32 years Mariea. Daughters, Tiffini
