Mary J. Walker

It was a nippy winter morning, it the great city of Chicago, Illinois, February 24th, 1941 to be exact that Joseph Luther Hendricks and Georgia Lee Holiday welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. After a short period of thought, they decided to name her Mary Jane Hendricks
Mary received her formal education from the ChicagoPublicSchool District. It was in the summer of 1955, Mary met the love of her life and married Tommy J. Walker, and to this blessed union five children were born.
Mary was known for her vibrant personality, gentle spirit and unique soft but subtle smile. She left a lasting impression on everyone that she came in contact with. In her spare time, you would find her singing, painting, gardening, and most of all spending time with her family.
At 10:25 Monday evening on January 6th, 2016, Mary heard her Master say, "Well done thy good and faithful servant. She crossed the finish line of this life and transitioned from earthly labor to her heavenly reward and was greeted by her parents Joseph and Georgia Hendricks, her loving husband Tommy J, her two children Thomas Jr. and Linda. Her two siblings JoAnn Small and Robert Moore.
Those left to cherish precious memories her children, Cynthia Johnson (Harold), Cheryl, Chris and Reginald Walker, Her Siblings Gloria Davis, and James Jones. Thirteen grand children, a fleet of great grandchildren, and a great host of other relatives and friends.
As this journey comes to an end, Mary leaves you with the words "All right now, I love you baby, Psalms 91."
