"To everything there is a season; a time to be born"...Ecclesiastes 3:1
It was a great day on August 26th, 1935 in the country town of Troop Texas, to be exact, that Mr. Elmon Tennison and Martha Castleberry-Tennison welcomed there beautiful bouncing baby girl into the world. They decided to name their precious gift, Elretha Tennison.
"A time to live and love... .Ecclesiastes 3:4
She professed Christ at an early age. She was a true woman of GOD that ministered to everyone that she came in contact with. Elretha was an anointed singer, with a voice that could usher in the presence of GOD.. She served faithfully as a n evangelist, preacher, teacher of the written word of GOD.
"I am now ready to be offered"... II Timothy 4:6
On Friday June 17th, 2016, Reverend Elretha Thompson. heard the master say, "Well Done Thy Good & Faithful Servant, Peace Be Thine" She crossed the finish line of this life, and transitioned from earthly labor to his heavenly reward. Elretha was greeted at the golden gates of heaven by her husband - Charlie C. Thompson Jr, sisters-Kareese Vales, and Earlistene Williams, brothers, Rev Raymond Tennison, W.C. Tennison, Willard Tennison, and Leon Tennison, and Rev George Tennison.
"I will not leave you comfortless"... St. John 14:13
She leaves to cherish her memories, Sister Alrese " Lolly" Franklin of Jacksonville, Texas, brothers - Walter L. Tennison (Capri), Love Tennison Sr. (Mildred) and L.T. Tennison all of Ft. Worth Texas, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
